Senior Application Support Engineer

Salary: £28,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in Application Support, Software Support, or a similar role
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries
• Experience investigating and resolving technical issues in a production environment
• Knowledge of Jira or similar ticketing systems
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, or similar version control tools
• Scripting experience, ideally PowerShell
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• PL/SQL experience is preferred but not essential
• Experience supporting enterprise software applications
• Exposure to Agile environments

Responsibilities:

• Act as a senior escalation point for complex application issues
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve 2nd/3rd line support incidents
• Carry out root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions
• Work closely with Engineering and Service Delivery teams
• Write and maintain automation scripts
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles
