IT Support Analyst

Salary: £28,000 - 28,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have at least 12 months experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or IT Technician role.
• We have experience supporting Microsoft technologies and a solid understanding of desktop, infrastructure and networking fundamentals.
• We are proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
• We communicate effectively with users across the business.
• We have experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• We have experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• We have experience with Microsoft Entra ID and on-premise Active Directory.
• We have experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019 or 2022.
• We have knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VPN technologies.
• We have experience supporting desktop, laptop and mobile devices.
• We have experience with user account administration and Group Policy.
• Microsoft, CompTIA or ITIL certifications are welcomed but not essential.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager is desirable.
• Experience with Exchange Online administration is desirable.
• Experience with Hyper-V virtualisation is desirable.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting is desirable.
• Experience with VLANs, switching and firewall technologies is desirable.
• Experience with Conditional Access and Multi-Factor Authentication is desirable.
• Experience with Cyber Essentials, ISO27001 or ITIL Service Management is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• We provide first and second-line technical support to users across the business, both onsite and remotely.
• We diagnose and resolve hardware, software, Microsoft 365, networking and infrastructure issues.
• We manage incidents and service requests through the IT Service Desk, ensuring excellent customer service and timely resolution.
• We administer user accounts, permissions and security groups within Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• We support Microsoft 365 technologies including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• We configure and deploy desktops, laptops, mobile devices and associated hardware.
• We assist with the administration and maintenance of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• We support networking infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity.
• We work alongside third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver IT projects and infrastructure improvements.
• We maintain accurate technical documentation, asset registers and knowledge base articles.
• We assist with user onboarding, IT inductions and ongoing security best practices.
• We contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the reliability, security and performance of the IT environment.
