Technical Systems Lead

Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• Good technical knowledge of Salesforce, Business Central, and student record systems such as EBS.
• Experience working with external tech partners or central group IT functions to deliver projects.
• Experience with data integration and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and empathetically to non-technical colleagues.
• Proven track record of managing IT changes and rollouts smoothly.
• Experience working in higher education or a creative arts environment is desirable.
• Understanding of UK higher education data reporting such as HESA or OfS is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Own the technical relationship between Salesforce, Business Central, and EBS to ensure data flows smoothly across systems.
• Work with external technical support partners and our central IT team to translate our needs into clear specifications while staying aligned with the Salesforce core model.
• Build and maintain a centralised data reporting model, such as Power BI dashboards, to give leadership clear performance insight.
• Lead system upgrades, enhancements, and new feature rollouts from start to finish.
• Translate the needs of our creative campus into practical system workflows.
• Keep projects on time and on budget while launching updates smoothly.
• Champion user adoption by understanding staff challenges and helping teams work more effectively.
• Create friendly, jargon-free training and support for staff.
• Build a network of system Super Users across our departments to share best practices and feedback.
