Software Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong background in software engineering and its realization
• Experience with C++ programming
• Familiarity with software architecture models
• Collaborative and open approach to development with strong teamwork skills
• Knowledge of Real Time Multi-Threaded Applications (preferred but not essential)
• Experience across the entire software development process (preferred but not essential)
• Familiarity with new tools and techniques for process improvement (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with other programming languages such as Ada (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C or IEC61508 (preferred but not essential)
• Understanding of restricted coding standards such as MISRA C++ (preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Command and Control architectures for next-generation Air Defence Systems
• Collaborate with experienced software, systems, and electronics engineers
• Maintain momentum during development projects
• Engage with requirement authorities and participate in automated target integration and proving
• Document all processes effectively
• Contribute to a proactive and innovative team culture
